Descripción
El mismo rincón de la península que Andrés recorre con la gente en sus días de senderismo, ahora en cuatrimoto, en un día completo. Salida de Las Galeras a las 9:30 am. Primero la antigua mina de mármol en las afueras del pueblo, luego el soplo que los lugareños llaman el soplo de la ballena, donde el oleaje empuja el agua diez metros hacia arriba a través de una fisura en el acantilado. Después una parada en una casa típica, donde la familia cultiva café y cacao y te explicará cómo se procesa. El resto del día es para Playa Rincón y Caño Frío: cuatro kilómetros de arena blanca, y el río de agua dulce fría al final de la playa con piscinas naturales donde puedes nadar. El almuerzo es comida típica dominicana. Regreso a Las Galeras a las 4:00 pm. Andrés Pérez ha guiado en esta costa durante quince años, está certificado por el Ministerio de Turismo y pertenece a AGTUGE, la asociación local de guías. Las Galeras, Samaná. The group leaves at 9:30 am and is back by 4:00 pm. Agree the pickup point with Andrés on WhatsApp the day before.
Accesibilidad y requisitos
Riding a quad on unpaved roads and dirt tracks, some of it rough and dusty. You need to be comfortable operating the machine yourself, or ride as a passenger — confirm with Andrés how many people fit on one and whether a licence is required. Closed shoes are essential. Not suitable for young children as drivers. The last stretch to Playa Rincón is unpaved. No toilets at the marble mine or the blowhole.

Isabel D'Mel año pasadoMy friend and I booked the 7 beaches walking tour ans had a great day with Andrés - he is from the area and knows everyone! He even helped us to arrange transport to and from Samana at a good price after we realised going by bus would not work. Andrés knows all about the beaches, advised us on where was best to swim and where was not safe, told us a lot about the plants and trees. He even cracked open an almond to show us - it was tasty! The lunch was good and we had time to go to where the river meets the sea which was beautiful and refreshing to cool off before heading back. Highly recommend!
