Our small group of 6 adults traveled from the USA in June 2025 to the Dominican Republic for 7 days vacation and booked Gringo Transfers Tours to handle all our transportation. Thomas the booking mgr & our tour guide is German spoke both English and Spanish as well. He accompanied our driver Enegildo Alcalá (gringo) who spoke only spanish and was an excellent driver, very safe & knew those roads & area very well so knew the best & safest areas to stop for restrooms break & food. They were a GREAT TEAM & EXTREMELY RELIABLE. They both were was professional & friendly and had a cooler filled with cold water, sodas & local sugar cane for us to enjoy as we traveled over 5 hours together from Punta Cana airport to the Wyndham Alltra Samana resorts. It was great having Thomas with us as we traveled so he shared historical information about the areas we were driving through, and helped us on stops to make purchases & interpret what we wanted to buy & the correct $USD to Dominican peso to the local vendors. Gringo transfer handled all our Transportation - from Punta Cana airport to Wyndham Alltra Samana (5hrs), then 4 days later from Samana to Santo Domingo city for a 3hrs tour, then drove 2hrs to the Santuary Resort & Spa in Cap Cana. Our final transportation 3 days later back to the airport PUJ Airport. Thomas did a great job on the tour of Santo Domingo we stopped at the The 3 Eyes National Park which dates back to 1916 had caves & 3 rivers hidden under the city which was amazing. Then with $2 usd entrance fee we explored "the Fortress" or "Fortaleza Ozama" the oldest military construction of European origin 1502-1508 where Christopher Columbus himself was imprisoned at one point. AMAZING history. Bottom line Gringo Transfers Tours is a very good & low competitive pricing & will work with your budget. Thomas German accent is strong but can speak clear English for his clients to understand. Give them a try.

100% recommended. Excellent service. Gringo is an excellent driver, reliable, safe, punctual and efficient. He knows the island by hand and can explain everything from the different zones/regions. I have done the transfer from airport to hotel and back, each over 4h drive, and I couldn’t be happier to have arranged the transfer with him. Even more, although I was traveling alone, he picked me up with a small bus, treating me with the same comfort and experience as if I was in a large group. I travel often to RD, and having someone like Gringo is difficult to find. For sure now, he is my contact for any trips in the island.
