Description
A morning crossing in open water out to the Islas Ballenas, the small islands that give Playa Las Ballenas its name, with time to snorkel once you get there.
You paddle out with a guide by kayak or stand up paddleboard. Snorkelling gear and snacks are carried along.
Unlike Manati's other trips, this one is not listed as suitable for everyone, because it crosses open water rather than following the shore. It leaves in the morning and takes about three hours. Minimum four people for it to go out.

General advice for this kind of trip — confirm the details with the host.
Manati Water Sports is based on Playa Las Ballenas in Las Terrenas, at Beach Club Eden. They rent stand up paddleboards and single or double kayaks by the hour, by the half day or for the full day, and they deliver anywhere in the area for a flat transport fee. They also run five guided paddle trips along the coast: a short one to a hidden beach, a sunset paddle, an open-water crossing to the Islas Ballenas with snorkelling, a combo through river, mangrove and sea, and a longer trip out to the coral reefs and wild beaches. Guided trips take a minimum of four people and include a guide and all the equipment; most of them also include transport and snacks. Private trips run from two people.
