The zipline over the forest of El Valle is ranked the number one attraction in Samaná and among the best rated excursions on the island. It runs 13 stations and 12 cables on a three-cable system for added safety, with views over virgin forest and the surrounding mountains. At the bottom of the thirteenth station waits the Lulú waterfall, where you swim before heading back. Emilio handles the round-trip transport from your hotel or from the port of Samaná. It works for all ages and is an easy day out with family or friends. Please note the zipline is closed on Tuesdays. Price is per adult and depends on where you are picked up: $85 from the Samaná cruise port, $89 from Samaná hotels, $95 from Las Galeras hotels, and $109 from Las Terrenas hotels. Children up to 12 years old pay $45. Minimum 2 adults. From hotels the tour lasts 3 to 4 hours; from cruise ships, 2 to 3 hours. Included: round-trip transport, the zipline itself, soft drinks, natural water and the swim at the waterfall.

We were a group of 7, 4 adults and 3 kids, and had a wonderful day with prompt service and were able to make it back to the ship with time to spare (and have a gorgeous day that gave us the opportunity to avoid the mass of idiots on our cruise ship)See this review on Google

Patrick Mitchell8 years agoOPTIMA provided us with excellent transportation when needed and also guides great excursion tours. We had a driver waiting for us at the Ferry in Samana where the driver then brought us to our apartment to drop off our luggage and change before heading out to a horseback riding excursion at the Limon Waterfall. I was fearful that this would be too much but they handled all those moving pieces effortlessly. Emilio showed great customer service.See this review on Google
