Description
A private boat out of Las Galeras to two of the most dramatic beaches on the peninsula. Playa Frontón sits under a vertical cliff wall and Playa Madama is a narrow cove closed in by rock; neither is reachable by road, and the crossing takes under 20 minutes. The boat is yours for the day, so how long you stay at each beach is up to you, with time to swim and rest. Departure is from Playa Grande in Las Galeras at 9:30 am, back around 3:00 pm. Lunch is not included on this trip: Dominican food at Playa Frontón can be added for $17 per person. The Madama cave is not part of this excursion.

Accessibility & Requirements
Boarding is from the beach, so expect a short wade in shallow water. The crossing is in a small open boat and can be bumpy when the Atlantic swell is up; the trip may be moved or cancelled in poor sea conditions. There is no shade on board and no toilet at either beach. Not suitable for anyone who cannot step into a boat from the sand.

With her, we visited Santo Domingo and then spent a week in Las Galeras. A truly amazing experience! The best way to visit and get to know the Dominican Republic, its customs, and its people. We went on fantastic excursions, met locals, and she showed us typical places… and the food… Don't hesitate and give yourselves this opportunity. It's the best way to discover a different country and enjoy a real trip. And if you have little ones… don't hesitate!
