A 100% private excursion along the wildest side of Las Galeras, exclusively for the people in your booking. No sharing the experience with other travelers, and at your own pace.
You'll cover about 3 km of coastal trail and cliffs, discovering seven small beaches and coves that no road reaches: Playa Caletón, Playa Escondida, the two coves of Playa Colorada, Playa Ñiñingo, Playa del Amor and Playa Breman, with time to stop and swim along the way.
The hike ends at the spectacular Playa Rincón, where you'll enjoy a traditional Dominican lunch on the sand. And after eating, there's no need to walk back: you'll return by boat to Playita, in Las Galeras.
Throughout the tour you'll be accompanied by a local guide accredited by the Ministry of Tourism, with over 15 years of experience in the area.

You meet the host at a set spot
Playita, Las Galeras, Samaná, at 9:30 am. The walk starts here and the boat brings you back to the same beach by 3:00 pm.
Accessibility & Requirements
- A good level of fitness is needed
About 3 km on natural coastal paths, over uneven rock, sand and some cliff sections. A moderate level of fitness is needed and closed walking shoes with grip are essential. Not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. The return leg is by small boat, so a short wade to board may be needed.
Viajar a Samaná is a private tour agency located facing the beach in Las Galeras, working with certified local guides for Spanish-speaking visitors. The excursions are private: a boat for two people to Playa Frontón and Madama, the seven hidden beaches on foot with a guide certified by the ministry of tourism and 15 years of experience, the El Limón waterfall by private taxi walking through the jungle and with a local guide, Playa Rincón and Caño Frío with private van service to do the tour, and a 12-day trip through Samaná, Dominican Republic with hotels and transfers included and a personal guide. Los Haitises is the only one done by shared boat.
