Description
Cabo Cabrón National Park by boat and on foot, out to the three natural pools set into the rock at the end of the headland. A small boat runs out from Las Galeras, then it is about an hour on foot over the rock to reach the pools, and the return to Las Galeras is by boat again. The pools fill with clear seawater and are deep enough to swim in, with the cliffs of the cape rising behind them, and the walk out is one of the best places on this coast to see the birdlife of the cape. Traditional Dominican food, drinks and an afternoon snack are included. Ricardo is a Las Galeras hiking guide, known locally as El Senderista de Las Galeras, and he walks the route with the group. Numbers are capped at ten people and the day is guided in Spanish.

Accessibility & Requirements
About an hour on foot each way over uneven volcanic rock, with no shade. Water shoes or trainers with grip are essential. Boarding is from the beach, so expect a short wade in shallow water, and the boat may not run in poor sea conditions. Not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. There are no toilets and no drinking water at the pools. Guided in Spanish only.

He explains everything with love and enthusiasm and takes you to beaches you'd never find on your own! The 7 Virgin Beaches excursion is absolutely stunning. The route isn't particularly difficult, but it is a long one, though with this guide, the morning flies by! Plus, a truly Dominican meal awaits you at the last beach, and they pick you up by boat. He's an excellent person, attentive, kind, and always has great advice. The 7 beaches tour and the cave visit were spectacular.
