Description
Puerto Escondido is a stretch of cliff on the north side of the peninsula where the rock drops straight into the sea, and at the foot of it the water collects into a pool so clear and so still that the bottom is visible from the boat. That pool is the trip: the boat goes there, and the time is spent in the water rather than moving between places. The cliff itself is cut with caves and overhangs at the waterline, and the boat goes in close enough to see into them. The water inside holds a deep blue that the open sea does not have, and the rock keeps the swell out, so it stays calm on days when the coast outside is not. Food and non-alcoholic drinks are included and served during the trip, and a verified guide goes with the group throughout. Pickup from your accommodation is included. This is the shortest of the trips and the smallest in group size — fifty people at most, which is what keeps the pool uncrowded.
