Description
A full day by catamaran into Los Haitises National Park, followed by Cayo Levantado. Los Haitises is the park of limestone hills rising out of the mangrove in Samana bay, with sea caves along the shoreline and colonies of nesting seabirds on the smaller keys. From there the catamaran crosses to Cayo Levantado, the island in the mouth of the bay, for beach time. Lunch is included, along with water and soft drinks from the cooler — no alcohol — and a local guide goes with the group. The day runs about seven hours. This is the operator's large-group departure, running with around 30 to 40 people, so it is the busier and cheaper way to see the park rather than a private boat. Available in Spanish, English and German.

Laura Topp2 months agoThis was our first time in Samana, Dominican Republic, and by sheer chance we stumbled upon Marcel and his team at Sunshine Holiday. We booked three excursions and were completely satisfied. On the first excursion, we were a small group of five, and on the other two, it was just the three of us. Simply wonderful! No time pressure, no mass tourism – for us, one of the best experiences we've ever had. We are so grateful and would book an excursion with them again in a heartbeat.
