Description
Los Haitises is the national park at the back of the Bay of Samaná: a field of limestone hummocks rising straight out of the water, with mangrove channels running between them. It can only be seen from a boat, and it is the most distinctive landscape on this coast. The trip goes into three of the caves, where the rock at the waterline still holds Taíno art, and then stops at Cayo Levantado, the island in the bay, for time on the beach. Everything is included: the boat, the transport to the port, the food and a guide with the group the whole way.
